Ice Butt Super Ribbed Fleshlight Insert

In the official product images, this insert appears solid white, but actually it is pale translucent. It doesn't work very well without the case, so you'll really need a case to go with it. I recommend the Ice Clear case. Although I have to say, the insert on its own does make much better, rather lovely filthy-ish noises (especially the ribs) when used outside the case. Inside the case, it's pretty quiet during use.

For a long time, my male partner has had a pink mouth fleshlight in a silver coloured case which he hasn't used it in years. So I did some research and recommended this insert with the clear case. With our relationship being the way it is, what I recommended was what he ended up getting (of course).

From the information I gathered during my research, the reasons I chose this insert are:

- I liked the gender-unspecific shape

- The Butt shape provides good cushioning during use

- The Super Ribbed internal style was well recommended

- The see-through translucency is exciting

The Butt is quite close enough to be at least reminiscent of a person. I especially like the little wrinkles around the anus. That is an exquisite touch. :)

My partner noted that the Butt shape put him in a very different headspace than the Mouth. With the Butt, he enjoyed plunging it vigorously up and down his shaft, and the silicone cheeks of the Butt shape thwumped off his fleshy pubic bone in a happy bouncy sort of way. He could never do that with the Mouth shaped insert, it would feel to him too much like crashing a person's face into himself, which put him off.

So I liked that he felt he could let go with this insert and enjoy himself.

Initially it was quite difficult for my partner to get his penis into the unit, even with a lot of lubrication. I don't know whether this is related to his size or not. I wouldn't say he was enormous, but he is certainly well endowed. I haven't measured his penis, but his is certainly larger than most of the penises I have encountered during my 20-odd years of sexual exploration. So I don't know if this was related to his initial difficulties. However, once he was in, that struggle was over. Even when he came out sometimes during use, getting back in was easier than it was the first time.

Whereas his Mouth insert had a smooth lining, this Butt has the Super Ribbed styling. My partner said the smooth lining was utterly forgettable. For the Super Ribbed version, he said that with every stroke, the feeling of the ribs dragging over the head of his penis provided quite hard friction stimulation, and he thought that prolonged use might redden his penis, if not give it a full-blown friction rash. He felt that the ribs were designed to cause orgasm through friction rather than through pleasure. He felt like if he had carried on the friction during orgasm, he would have continued pulsing for at least another 30 seconds to a minute.

I enjoyed the sound of the ribs sliding against his penis as he pushed and pulled and stroked. Also, I thought that the sound of the silicone cheeks thwumping against his fleshy pubic bone was rather nice as well.

The translucency was probably my favourite part of the masturbation experience, (seeing as I wasn't the one being stimulated by the ribs). I got to see my partner's penis through his different stages of arousal. For me, the best part of that was being able to see each orgasmic pulse of his penis quite clearly through the transparent case and translucent insert. That part was brilliant. :)

My partner thought it was great to be able to see his own penis through the clear case whilst it was hard, unobstructed by his own fingers. He would have preferred the insert to be clearer. Perhaps in future there will be a suitable material which can be made totally transparent (maybe PVC?). He definitely felt as if he were on show, which both of us found exciting. There was a definite novelty value in the clear case and insert - he felt obliged to be on display because no modesty was allowed. Yummy. :)

My partner felt that the fleshlight is quite heavy and tiring to use after awhile. It really is a big, heavy object. And the insert won't dry properly inside the case after washing, and it picks up a lot of fluff if left to dry on a towel. So leave it to dry on a lint-free surface. After drying, the surface feels a bit sticky, and that's where cornstarch really comes in handy to restore the silky feel of the surface. If there's one single must-have fleshlight accessory, I think that cornstarch must be it.

One thing about the silicone insert is that even if the inner canal doesn't hold its own shape outside of the case, it does maintain its cool temperature very well. My partner had a headache, and prior to putting it to its designed use, I held the Butt part of the insert (supported by the case) against his forehead. We joked about how that made him a butthead. But because of the coolness of the insert against his headachey head, it felt really nice and his head felt better. I've tried this myself and it worked very well for me. When oriented sideways with the indentation running horizontally, the Butt shape feels quite perfectly formed to sit comfortably against my forehead. A silky layer of cornstarch increases comfort levels for this particular use of the fleshlight.

Disclaimer: I am not saying that the fleshlight is a cure for headaches. I am saying that the Ice Butt silicone insert, when cool, feels good when held against the forehead during a headache.

At the same time we got the fleshlight, we also got the Tenga Standard Edition Deep Throat Onacup.

My partner's feelings were that the Onacup was wonderful, that it felt very similar to a woman's vagina, and hats off to the people who designed it. He thought that the ribs of the fleshlight felt quite hard and unforgiving in comparison, although he did very much like the translucent feature of the fleshlight, which the Onacup does not have. He felt that the fleshlight was about friction, whereas the Onacup was about pleasure.

As a woman, I like this fleshlight for its androgynous sexy shape, its translucency, and its headache-soothing properties.

My partner's conclusions are that the Onacup rocks the socks off the fleshlight. It beats all comers (ba dun - tssshhhhhh). He thinks that this Tenga Onacup is quite spectacular and should really have an apple logo on it.

After all, translucency is lovely, but there's more to life than friction. So all things considered, we'd both suggest forgetting about the fleshlight and going for a Tenga Deep Throat Onacup instead.
